Charter Oak Cultural Center, Hartford, Connecticut, United States of America

The Charter Oak Cultural Center is a beautiful landmark of Hartford, Connecticut and is registered in the National Register of Historic Monuments. It was once a synagogue and was built in 1876. It was eventually abandoned in the 1970's but when it was planned for demolition, the community responded against it. Now, the efforts of the community paid off. It is one of the gems of Hartford and is a multi-cultural arts center with a program for children, the homeless, girls and women, and art enthusiasts.
