The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is located in St. Paul, Minnesota. The center hosts several shows and exhibitions throughout the year. These include touring Broadway musicals, opera, cultural performers, and orchestras. The center also hosts its own productions from time to time. Several local art organizations also call the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts home. It is the hub for the Minnesota Opera as well as for the Saint Paul Chamber Opera. The performing arts center was opened in 1985. The main architect for the center was Benjamin C. Thompson. It was established through the initiative of Sally Ordway Irvine, for whom the center is named after.
